Box With Purpose

This Winter Hasod Boxes were curated with the idea gifting with purpose.

In this season of giving we have teamed up with AKIM (the Israeli national organization for people with intellectual disabilities and their families, operating as a person-centered organization) to bring you a special spoon placer and some complementary items to make your cooking and hosting extra special this season.

Let's savor the giving-time and hope for new beginnings in this coming 2025.

Scroll down for ideas on how to use spices, and tips that will make your date snacks even more delicious.

Hasod Box:

Za’atar

There are so many ways to use Za’atar here are 3 ideas you can’t go wrong with:

1. Za’atar Dip

Mix some za’atar w/ olive oil and use as dip on your table, dip your challah bread or any bread and impress your guests

2. Za’atar Chips

Tired of plain pita chips? Mix some za’atar w/ olive oil and brush on pita triangles before baking for tasty, aromatic Za’atar Chips.

3. Za’atar on eggs

Scrambled, poached, boiled, sunny-side…whatever type of egg floats your boat will go great with some Za’atar

Shakshuka

An absolute favorite over here. Basically eggs poached in tomato sauce – it’s a popular breakfast in the Middle East but can really be enjoyed all day long.

It all starts with the sauce, and in a classic shakshuka the sauce is tomato-based.

You will need high-quality canned tomatoes, our shakshuka spice ( a spoonful for a 4 egg shakshuka would be sufficient) onion and red bell pepper are also standard in shakshuka sauce, eggs and parsley.

You can accompany this with pita bread (or any bread you might have and some zaatar dip on the side ; )

Here is a recipe we like to use

Shawarma

This picture to the left can be in your tummy so soon!

Shawarma seasoning makes an excellent spice rub for meat, chicken, fish and even tofu. You can either use it as a dry rub or mix it with extra virgin olive oil and dip the meat into the mixture and then roast.

Thank us later ; )

Date Chocolate Bars

Pro tip #1 - do not share!

Pro tip #2 - take small bites…

Pro tip #3 - freeze them if you want to eat them cold ; )

You are getting 2 different ones: a chocolate date bar (teal packaging) and the green package is a chocolate date and cashew paste bar.

Enjoy!
