Meet Gil from Chilla

Gil is a 32 year young, hip, Israeli born, colorful dreamer.

She was born in Mashabei Sadeh (משאבי שדה), a kibbutz in southern Israel located in the Negev.

As a young adult, she moved to the center of the country where she fell in love with the hipster neighborhood of South Tel aviv , Florentin where she is now settled with her boyfriend and her dog Chabbi.

She always loved fashion. Gil was known among her friends for always fixing and “upgrading” clothes she wore. She always loved to cut fabrics and find different ways of sowing them together to make new pieces.

When she was 26, after the army and in the midst of her studies, she started working in a local bar in the neighborhood and as always, she would make and ware her own clothes and bags.

This time around, people commented, clients and coworkers wanted a piece of her style and chillnes, so Gil started making personalised orders. Loving it!

Since then, she has explored making clothes and accessories, but today she is very happy with her niche - Vegan Bags .

Gil is all about accessories and all about veganism, so this was a perfect match.
She saw a shortage of cool vegan accessories, so she took the chance and created Chilla - the coolest bags around!

If you are ever in Tel Aviv, you will be able to find Gil in her Florentin based studio or in Yaffo’s market surrounded by her colorful bags. In the weekends, well, either in nature or enjoying her neighborhood.
