Meet Tal and Roy from Yahalomis

Tal and Roy have the true Tel Aviv vibe: Independent, Young & Colorful.

Their story began almost 11 years ago, were they were set up by a common friend to meet in a bar in Tel Aviv. They were both young-and-free 24 year olds, right before their studies and with much travels behind them.

Soon after they met, Tal started studying Animation in Betzalel in Jerusalem and Roy started studying Industrial Design in HIT in Holon.

Living an hour away from each other and with intensive studies, they continued their relationship and saw each other every weekend and sometimes also in the middle of the week.

Once they finished their studies they both worked as freelancers but very soon after, they decided that they wanted to work to create something together.

They searched for something to do and they both just fell in love with ceramics, although neither of them really studied it. They just loved the nature and the history of clay.

And, one thing lead to another… Long story short, Yahalomis was born.

Yahalomis was founded in 2014 with the purpose of designing and creating handmade ceramic products for the contemporary home all over the world.

Tal and Roy pride themselves in creating products that they personally love and use. They always try to explore new techniques, new materials, and find exciting inspirations for their work.

We are super excited to be partnering with them for our 2020 Summer Premium Box to include their Skinny Vase (either Pink, White, Yellow or Light Turquoise) OR their Decorative Hamsa (Dotted Grey or Terracotta).

One of the studio's unique materials is the Lava rocks clay, which they create from local Basalt rocks from the north of Israel.
